His work sits somewhere between accountant, management accountant and commercial sounding board, combining day-to-day finance knowledge with reporting, systems, forecasting and practical business analysis. He particularly enjoys getting into the detail, finding where processes can work better, and turning messy financial information into something clear and useful.
Having worked closely with operational businesses, including tourism and hospitality, Steven understands that finance doesn’t exist in isolation. Staffing, capacity, pricing, seasonality, systems and day-to-day operations all eventually show up in the numbers.
